Public Notice of adopting changes to the Model City Tax Code

In accordance with A.R.S. 42-6054, a 15 day public notice is hereby given that the Prescott City Council may consider approving changes to the Prescott City Tax Code.

On October 10, 2014, the Municipal Tax Code Commission addressed and approved changes to the Model City Tax Code. On November 18, the Prescott City Council will consider ratifying these changes into the City Tax Code. The proposed changes relate to Article III which relates to licensing and recordkeeping. Most noteworthy, the Transaction Privilege Tax license will be valid for a calendar year with annual renewal required by Jan 1.

Council has set a public hearing on the proposed adoption for November 18, 2014 at 3:00 pm in the City Council Chambers at 201 South Cortez Street in Prescott. The proposed code language is available here.
